Apple Jacks Terriers is a small kennel raising the English Short Jack Russell
Terriers also known as Shorty Jack Russell Terriers or Puddins. Our newest
addition the black and tan Hunt Terriers are such a joy.
We are located in a small community in Northwest Arkansas known best for its
apples. Although our shorty Jack Russell Terriers have there own home they
are very much family raised and very good with my children.
Monty had been raising puppies for several years prior to moving to Arkansas
and our marriage. When he told me he wanted to breed dogs again I thought he
was crazy. After months of reading dog magazines and researching on the
Internet we agreed the mild temperament, hunting qualities and intelligence of
the Jack Russell Terrier was the dog for us. We then agreed on the English
Shorty Jack Russell Terrier.
I think we were very fortunate to find Jana Crawford to get us started with our
first females and our males. I met Jana's sister Judy in Russellville to pick up
Appie and Tootsie. I couldn't believe it when I saw them. They were so tiny
and oh so cute. Morgan was only one and a half then and he was ecstatic. We
were all so thrilled!
In 2005 we sold all but two of our dogs and our home. All the dogs went to
wonderful homes, but it was still a very sad time here at the Lindsey's.
Finally in August 2006 we purchased a place and by June of 2007 we were able
to move into an almost finished house. Fortunately the terriers already had
there house built as I had purchased several puppies I could not resist. We
have also added a pair of the black and tan Hunt Terriers to the clan.
We are dedicated to breed only the finest happy healthy English "shorty" Jack
Russell Terriers with mild playful temperaments, wonderful folded ears and
